Днями, у рамках робочого візиту в Україну литовської делегації, відбулася зустріч начальника Генерального штабу Збройних Сил України генерал-майора Андрія Гнатова з начальником Штабу оборони Збройних Сил Литовської Республіки генерал-лейтенантом Ремігіюсом Балтренасом.
В ході зустрічі генерал-майор Андрій Гнатов поінформував литовського колегу про ситуацію на фронті та перспективи її розвитку.
Крім цього, сторони обговорили низку питань військового та військово-технічного співробітництва, серед яких участь Вільнюса в 5 коаліціях (Дронів, ППО/ПРО, Артилерії та ІТ-Коаліції) і продовження підготовки українських військовослужбовців у навчальних центрах на території Литви.
Генерал-лейтенант Ремігіюс Балтренас зазначив, що литовська сторона активно співпрацює з партнерами у рамках створення та подальшого становлення “Коаліції охочих” для забезпечення гарантій безпеки України після припинення бойових дій.
На завершення зустрічі генерал-майор Андрій Гнатов подякував литовській стороні за стійку підтримку та, користуючись нагодою, привітав литовського колегу з перемогою у відборі на посаду Директора Міжнародного військового штабу НАТО.
Last week, as part of a visit to Ukraine of the Lithuanian delegation, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Andrii Hnatov met with Chief of the Defence Staff of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Remigijus Baltrėnas.During the meeting, Major General Andrii Hnatov informed the Lithuanian counterpart about the battlefield situation and its perspectives.
In addition, the parties discussed a number of issues of military and military-technical cooperation, including Vilnius‘ participation in 5 coalitions (drones, air/missile defense, artillery and IT coalition) and continuation of training for Ukrainian soldiers across training centers in Lithuania.
Lieutenant General Remigijus Baltrėnas noted that the Lithuanian side is actively cooperating with partners within the framework of the creation and further formation of the Coalition of the Willing to ensure Ukraine’s security guarantees after termination of hostilities.At the end of the meeting, Major General Andrii Hnatov thanked the Lithuanian side for its support and, taking the opportunity, congratulated the Lithuanian counterpart on his victory in the selection as the next Director of the NATO International Military Staff.
