The Armed Forces of Ukraine are grateful for Your valuable, comprehensive, effective, firm and steadfast support of the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, including Crimea, in the time of the war of the russian federation during the launched full-scale russian invasion in 2022 and the unprovoked, unjust, dishonest and brutal war against of Ukraine since 2014.
We are grateful to the People of the United States of America for always standing by Ukraine during more than 33 years of Independence and earlier, for advocating the interests and aspirations of the Ukrainian people and Ukraine in the world, for steadfastly supporting the Ukrainian people and dissidents during the totalitarian communist soviet regime, and especially for the previous more than 11 years of support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, inviolability and independence of Ukraine in its internationally recognized borders and territorial waters.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine thank You all for the long-term, systematic and multidimensional support and effective assistance in reforming and increasing the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for the material and technical assistance provided, the organized and conducted collective and individual training of Ukrainian military personnel, the training of sergeant corps, cadets, chaplains, psychologists, linguists, public affairs, support for veterans, wounded and children of fallen military personnel both within the framework of bilateral US-UA cooperation, and as part of the "United Multinational Training Group - Ukraine", "Multinational Joint Coordination Committee on Military Cooperation and Defence Reform", and now for leading support in the "Consultative Group on Defence of Ukraine" on path of effective resistance to aggression of the russian federation.
US security assistance package provides various means capacity building, increasing the capabilities, and achieving maximum interoperability with Allied forces not only for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but broadly for the democratic Euro Atlantic strategic development of people, society and Ukrainian Statehood on its way to full integration in NATO and EU.
The funds provided for the last more than eleven years and before are aimed at strengthening the combat capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to counter russian aggression, save lives and health of Ukrainian soldiers who defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine honoured the memory of Joseph Stone, a U.S. citizen serving as a paramedic with the OSCE SMM - Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine , who was killed by russians when his vehicle struck a mine in eastern Ukraine, in territory controlled by russian occupational forces and all fallen for Ukraine and all those who sacrificed the most priceless in the name of the freedom of Ukraine!
