Today, the total combat losses of russian forces since the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine have surpassed 1.5 million killed and wounded.
These are the largest losses suffered by the russian army in a single war since the Second World War. This figure exceeds the combined losses of the Soviet and russian armies in all wars and armed conflicts of the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century.
This is 100 times higher than the Soviet Union’s losses in Afghanistan over ten years.
This is 125 times higher than the officially acknowledged losses suffered by the aggressor in the First and Second Chechen Wars.
Behind every recorded russian casualty is a real invader who came to Ukrainian soil with a weapon — and the tireless, daily efforts of Ukraine’s Defence Forces and the entire Ukrainian people.
The fight continues. Glory to Ukraine!
