⚡️⚡️ During the night of 9th September 2026, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck the Novorossiysk naval base in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai, russian federation.
Fires were reported at the naval base and at the fuel oil terminal of the seaport.
Explosions were confirmed in the areas where ships are based. The extent of the damage is being assessed.
ℹ️ Background. The Novorossiysk naval base is an important base for ships of the russian Black Sea Fleet. It is used for the maintenance and logistical support of russian military vessels.
Operations against key enemy military targets are ongoing.
