⚡️⚡️ During the night of 10th October 2026, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck the Samara Linear Production Dispatching Station near the settlement of Prosvet, Samara region, russian federation. The extent of the damage is being assessed.
ℹ️ Background. The Samara station is a major hub for receiving, storing and blending crude oil. Oil is transported to the facility via trunk pipelines from Tatarstan, Western Siberia and other russian oil-producing regions. Crude oil with varying sulphur content is blended at the station to produce the Urals export grade. The facility helps meet the needs of the russian armed forces.
🔍 In addition, the destruction of four RVS-50000 storage tanks and a large-scale fire at the Samara station on 7th October 2026 have been confirmed.
Strikes against such facilities are an exercise of Ukraine’s inherent right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter and are aimed at reducing the military and economic potential of the russian federation.
