Azov Optical and Mechanical Plant hit

⚡️⚡️ During the night of 26th September 2026, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck production facilities at the Azov Optical and Mechanical Plant in Azov, Rostov region, russian federation.

A fire was reported in the foundry workshop, and equipment in five production buildings was damaged.

ℹ️ Background. The enterprise is part of the Tactical Missiles Corporation and specialises in the production of optical-mechanical and optoelectronic equipment, electronic systems for artillery, missile and anti-tank weapons, as well as radar homing heads for tactical guided missiles.

The facility is involved in the production of equipment for the russian armed forces.

Strikes against such facilities are an exercise of Ukraine’s inherent right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter and are aimed at reducing the military and economic potential of the russian federation.
