During the ceasefire regime introduced in designated areas of Kherson Oblast for the humanitarian mission in Oleshky, the Defense Forces of Ukraine utilized the opportunities created by the security situation to evacuate residents from the right bank of Kherson Oblast.
This refers to settlements in the territory controlled by Ukraine along the Dnipro River, which faced daily shelling by the army of russia. Those who previously had no opportunity to leave the dangerous areas were able to depart.
Specifically, the civil-military cooperation units of the "South" Group of Forces, in cooperation with local authorities, evacuated 167 civilians to safer locations in Kherson Oblast. Among them were 22 children and 21 mobility-impaired individuals who required special attention and assistance.
It is worth noting that the evacuation took place under extremely difficult and dangerous conditions. The routes passed through mined roads that suffered destruction, areas with burned military equipment and civilian cars. All of this significantly complicated movement and required special caution and coordinated actions of all involved units.
Despite these risks, the main priority remains saving the lives of the civilian population and providing assistance to those who cannot independently leave the dangerous territories.
Every saved person is the result of joint work and coordinated interaction of all those involved in the humanitarian mission.
Units of the "South" Group of Forces clearly and strictly adhere to the ceasefire regime in the area of the humanitarian mission.
