Orion UAV ground control station, UAV launch site and enemy depots hit

⚡️⚡️ On 17th September and during the night of 18th September 2026, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine struck a number of important targets of the russian aggressor.

In the area of Novofedorivka, at the Saky airfield in Crimea, an enemy ground control station for Orion unmanned aerial vehicles was hit.

ℹ️ Background. Orion (Inokhodets) is a russian long-endurance medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial system. It can remain airborne for up to 24 hours, conduct electro-optical reconnaissance and provide target designation at altitudes of up to 7.5 km, and carry guided air-launched weapons, including missiles and bombs with a total weight of up to 200–250 kg, for engaging ground targets. The destruction of a ground control station significantly limits the occupiers’ ability to operate these systems in the respective operational area.

In the area of Donetsk, a site used for the storage, preparation and launch of attack UAVs was hit.

In addition, the destruction of an enemy ammunition depot in the area of Dovzhansk, Luhansk region, has been confirmed, as well as the destruction of a logistics and materiel depot of the occupying forces in the area of Kypuche, Luhansk region.

Operations against key enemy military targets are ongoing.
